Reclaiming a German-American past : the Dubois County area oral history interviews, 1993-1994.

Oral history transcripts from three interviews conducted by Heiko Muehr, a graduate student at Indiana University, and funded by an Indiana Heritage Research Grant. Interviewees are Lillian Fehrenbach Doane of Jasper, Ind., and Norbert Krapf, a native of Jasper and professor of English at Long Island University. The Doane interview discusses German-American life in Jasper and gives family and genealogical information. The Krapf interview gives accounts of the author's life and literary career and his efforts to preserve German-American culture in southwestern Indiana.
